Hours: Full Time (40 Hours Weekly) Day Shift
In collaboration with the management team focuses on daily department operations. Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of Nursing. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the hospital's Health System. Serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff, exhibiting the Core Values in all activities.
Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director and pursues management and leadership training within the Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special projects per Clinical Manager / Director consistent with strategic, fiscal, and operational goals/targets.Our hospital's caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.

Required qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License.
upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
3 years Clinical experience.
2 years Recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the Human Resource Leader.)
upon hire: Certification within area of expertise or practice (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.)
